Prashanth Hospitals donates fund to Rotary Club for promoting good health for the people

Chennai, February 2023: Chennai’s leading super-speciality hospital, Prashanth Hospitals today announced the fund of Rs. 1.8 lakhs raised through Corporate Cricket Tournament 2023 for promoting good health and awareness initiatives for the people in and around Ponneri. As part of Save Young Hearts campaign, the finals of Corporate Cricket Tournament 2023 took place today which was organized by Prashanth Hospitals in collaboration with Rotary Club, S2S HR Forum and ICMA SIPCOT. Well-known Ranji Trophy player Baba Indrajith distributed the prizes to the winners and runners. Western Thomson team won the cup as the final clash happened between teams Western and Thompson and ARS Steels. The amount raised through contributions from the participants will go to Rotary District 3232 and the fund will be used for conducting free health camps, consultations, awareness talks and screening camps for the people of Ponneri and its adjacent areas. With a focus to ensure regular health camps and educate the community on maintaining proper health and fitness, Prashanth Hospitals has embarked upon this initiative for the population around Ponneri.   

Commenting on the occasion, Dr. Prashanth Krishna , Managing Director of Prashanth Hospitals  said 

We are very delighted to partner with Rotary District 3232 and this initiative will definitely create a strong impact on the lives of people in Ponneri as various activities with a focus on basic education on fitness, health and hygiene etc. Taking forward our Save Young Hearts initiative, we always believe that an effective follow-up and timely diagnosis to treat and manage health complications and its symptoms is very crucial to remain healthy in the long term. “  

Adding to it, Dr. Bhaskaran, CEO of Prashanth Hospitals said “I thank all the participants and organizers for making this event a grand success. I strongly believe that such future endeavours through collaborations and associations will go a long way in improving the health and lives of people in Ponneri. Such transformation with a focus on educating the need to stay healthy and fit can only happen if all the stakeholders come together for such community development projects. “    

As part of Save Young Hearts campaign, the two-week tournament had its finals where winners and runners were rewarded with Rs. 30,000 and Rs.15,000 cash prizes respectively . Total proceeds of Rs. 1,80,000 to be used for conducting health camps and other awareness initiatives in Ponneri.
