Sri Kanyaka Parameswari Arts and Science College Celebrates 26th College Day and International Women’s Day

Sri Kanyaka Parameswari Arts and Science College for Women celebrated its 26th College Day in conjunction with International Women’s Day on 8th March 2025.  The event, held at the college premises, brought together students, faculty, and esteemed guests to celebrate academic achievements, cultural performances, and women’s empowerment.

The celebration started at 4:00 PM with a heartfelt welcome address by the honorary correspondent, Sri Vootukuru Sarath Kumar. Sri Soleti Lokaian Sudarsanam, Member -in- Charge of Office Administration and Works & Hony. Correspondent to Aided Schools introduced the chief guest, Mrs. Priyadarshini Rajkumar, a renowned cine actress and the Secretary of the Saraswati Educational Cultural and Charitable Trust. Mrs. Priyadarshini Rajkumar’s inspiring speech encouraged students to pursue excellence and embrace the opportunities available to them.

The College Day report was presented by Dr. P. B. Vaneetha, Principal i/c, who highlighted the academic accomplishments of the institution, including the recognition of outstanding students and faculty. A series of prestigious awards were distributed during the event, including the Best Outgoing Student Award, Centum Holders, College Proficiency Awards, and University Proficiency Awards. Faculty members who had contributed to 100% results were also honored for their dedication and hard work.

In addition to these academic honors, special awards were presented to students who had shown exemplary talent and achievement in various fields. The college also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the individuals and organizations providing scholarships to students, ensuring continued opportunities for higher education.

A special recognition was given to J.V. Rao, advisor SKPC Educational Institutions, for his invaluable contributions to the institution’s success and growth. His guidance and support have been instrumental in shaping the college into the respected institution it is today.

As part of the Women’s Day celebration, the “Kanya Bazaar” took place from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, offering a vibrant showcase of food, clothing, and accessories, celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit of women. The bazaar featured stalls from various women entrepreneurs, offering a diverse range of products that highlighted creativity, self-reliance, and empowerment.

The event concluded with a series of cultural performances, further enhancing the festive atmosphere and providing students with a platform to showcase their talents.

The event was a resounding success, with students, faculty, and guests leaving with a renewed sense of pride and inspiration. Sri Kanyaka Parameswari Arts and Science College continues to foster an environment of excellence, creativity, and empowerment for its students.
