Festivals are an expressive way to celebrate glorious heritage, culture and traditions.Echoing this festive spirit, the middle school students of Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with much zeal and zest on 30th August,2022.
Our honourable Chief Guest Dr. N Mallika, Assistant professor, Queen Mary’s College, Chennai graced the maha utsav. The programme started off by offering aarti to Lord Ganesh and the rousing chant Ganpati Bappa Morya, which echoed in the environment.
Lord Ganesh is looked upon as the lord of wisdom, knowledge and is the ‘Vighnaharta’. A Special song was melodiously sung praising the existence of Ganesha. Our dancing stars rocked on the Classical and fusion dance number in the most exuberant music and colourful attire. Finally, music showcased on the divine instrument Veena added splendour to the entire celebration.
The students emphasised on the eco-friendly ways of celebrating the festival.
The celebration awakened devotion, creativity, understanding and learning amongst children and concluded spreading positive vibes.
