The focus of the IAPEN India Clinical Nutrition Congress – 2023, held at the Taj Coromandel, Chennai, is to improve nutritional care for people at risk of malnutrition. The program was based on the themes of Rejuvenation, Renewal and Refocus, along with enhancing the skills of nutrition care professionals. International and national level Clinical Nutrition Committees recorded their views and conducted training workshops. Dr.A. Bhuvaneshwari, the Chief Organiser,ICNC 2023, Dr.P.C.Vijayakumar, Honarary National President IAPEN India and others participated in this program.Addressing the event, Governor Telangana & Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry Dr.Tamilisai Soundararajan said that when she gets an invitation to participate in medical seminars, she accepts it as his duty and primary duty.She said that whatever research the doctors do and whatever they discover, it should be made available to the common man and she said that all government hospitals should provide good nutrition.She said that importance should be given to vegetables in providing mid-day meals and said that they are implementing a program to provide breakfast to school children in Telangana. She also said that when she was the BJP state president of Tamil Nadu, she urged the government to give a banana, an egg and a peanut ball every day. She said that children and farmers will benefit from this.Dr.Tamilisai said that at the time when she was in Puducherry School Children given only one egg , she arranged to serve 3 eggs in her first signature.IAPEN organization is the only organization in India recognized by Parental and Eternal Nutrition Organizations ASPEN of USA and ENPEN of Europe.
