Kapil Dev, Revathi, TV Anchor Vijay and others shared their feelings about their favorite Dishes  

Two books for the entire family were launched at a very colorful function organized by the Duchess Club along with the author Ramaa Shankar at Hotel Savera this evening. The books are in the name and style of –The Hidden Treasure Tales & Memoirs of a Foodie. 

The books published by The Write Order have been written by Ramaa Shankar in a simple but interesting way which hooks the reader whether Child or Adult to finish reading it completely in one go. 

The Hidden Treasure Tales takes the reader on a journey through India’s rich mythology & History. From the valiant Kings, warriors, wise sages and godmen who shaped the face of our country, this book is a tribute to India’s ancient civilization. With an engaging portrayal of Indian Civilization this book is sure to make a positive impact on the young 

 readers says Ramaa Shankar the author. 

In the second book “Memoirs of a Foodie”, celebrities divulge their love for particular dishes in a candid and interesting way. Cricket heroes Kapil Dev, Kirti Azad, Actors Revathy, M K Radha, Nithya, Samyukta Hornad, Shakthi Vasudevan, Pooja Gandhi sprint queen Ashwini and others tell the readers why and how they developed a taste for certain dishes.  

Ramaa Shankar adds that it has taken her 5 years to put this book together. It unveils the amazing gastronomic evolution happing in India where foreign cuisines blend with biriyanis and kebabs. The Prasad which is offered to the Gods and is also a delicacy, is discussed in the book. 

Ms Nina Reddy of the Duchess club spoke about the innovation and interesting programs they are doing for the members who absorb the outcome of events like a sponge taking in water. This event was in line with that thinking and thanked author Ramaa and other dignitaries present for making the evening memorable. 

 The evening ended with the talented and charming Shibani Kashyap crooning away Bollywood melodies, to the delight of the guests.
