The story is set to revolve around a traditional family that is an ardent follower of the Kanchi Paramacharya and the challenges the family faces in modern circumstances while following the teachings of the great saint. The format is designed in such a way that the story seamlessly gets intertwined with the life messages as part of the family drama.

The need of the hour is for us to keep our ancient identity and traditions alive and carry it to the next generation. Many eminent personalities attended the launch meet. Padma Bhushan Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam, recalled how her entire career was guided by the spiritual grace of Mahaperiyava. She said, “Any artist to be successful, should have the blessings of her Gurus, the one who gave the art and the one who gave the vision of life. It was Mahaperiyava’s shower of blessings, that I could raise to the heights I did.”
Noted carnatic instrumentalists couple Sri Kumaresh and Smt Jayanthi Kumaresh highlighted how the teachings of Mahaperiyava are still relevant in today’s context and making it as a serial, that too as a social drama which family audiences remain glued to, is the need of the hour.
Paramacharya has given easy solutions to several modern day problems. One such was his initiative in the 1960s. “All that I need is a Fist full of Rice (Oru Pidi Arisi)” proclaimed Kanchi Paramacharya. Noted spiritual speaker, Sri Ganesha Sharma, spoke about how lakhs of devotees, heeding to the Paramacharya’s clarion call, attached themselves and became a part of the “Pidi Arisi” scheme and began to set aside one fistful of Rice every day. Sri Sankara TV, as a social responsibility initiative, is set to rekindle the momentum of this hugely popular scheme by involving its audience in the process. Sri Sankara has tied up with schools, colleges, corporates, various artists in TN to participate in this activity. This campaign was launched along with the project.
