Chennai, Tamilnadu – March 2024 – Today, Mr. Venkatesh Ramaraj was appointed as the President of the Tamilnadu State chapter of the Bhartiya Upbhokta Sanrakshan Samiti, a renowned consumer protection forum established in 1977. The appointment letter was handed over to Mr. Ramaraj by Mr. Debashish Dutta, National Vice President of the organization, at a ceremony held in Chennai, Tamilnadu. The Bhartiya Upbhokta Sanrakshan Samiti, led by its President Mr. Rajkumar Sharma, is dedicated to creating awareness among consumers and educating them about their legal rights.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Venkatesh Ramaraj expressed his commitment to standing by the consumers of Tamilnadu and protecting them from all forms of exploitation. He highlighted the need to address the various ways in which consumers are often taken advantage of in today’s world. Mr. Ramaraj announced plans to form the State committee of Tamilnadu within 60 days, followed by the formation of district committees in all districts of Tamilnadu.
Among the distinguished attendees at the appointment ceremony were Mrs. Bijoya Tanna, Mr. Sivaraj Sampath, Mrs. Subhashini Reddy, Mrs. Shailaja, and Ms. Divya Manju, all of whom are actively involved in the consumer protection movement.
