India, November 04, 2024: In a significant stride to advance emergency medical care in Chennai, RED.Health, Asia’s only JCI-accredited and India’s largest emergency medical response provider, has announced its partnership with Medway Hospital. Through this collaboration, RED.Health will station a fleet of ambulances at Medway Hospital, including four Advanced Life Support (ALS) and two Basic Life Support (BLS) units, specially equipped to ensure swift response and superior patient care in critical moments. The partnership officially commenced with a flag-off ceremony held at Medway Hospital on 4th November 2024 presided over by (Mr. Venkata Panidhar – Group CEO); (Mr. Nagappan- EVP Purchase and Supply Chain); (Ms. Ruby – Chief People Officer); (Mr. Thiruvenkadam – Admin Manager); (Mr. Sridhar – Operations of Medway Hospital) and (Mr. Linkesh – Regional Manager Growth of RED.Health), symbolizing a shared commitment to safeguard patient lives through timely and specialized emergency services.
Chennai’s growing population faces pressing challenges in accessing efficient emergency care, particularly during crucial life-threatening situations. In 2024, the city is grappling with a lack of emergency healthcare resources, including a shortage of trained staff, inadequate infrastructure, and an absence of standardized protocols, all of which hinder timely medical intervention.
RED.Health, joins hands with Medway Hospital to fill this gap by offering a seamless continuum of care. Doctors from Medway Hospital will actively supervise and provide essential medical support in the ambulances, ensuring that patients benefit from professional medical attention from the site of the incident to the hospital. This continuity of care is designed to improve patient outcomes and decrease the risk of complications or delays.
Speaking on the partnership, Prabhdeep Singh, Founder & CEO of RED.Health, said, “In every moment of medical emergencies, response speed and medical precision are crucial. Our collaboration with Medway Hospital creates a robust emergency response system for Chennai residents. The combination of our advanced ambulances and Medway Hospital’s medical expertise ensures that our patients receive critical care from the first point of contact itself.”
Dr. T Palaniappan, Group Chairman of Medway Hospital said, “The partnership with RED.Health strengthens our commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services and prioritizing emergency care. Our medical teams working alongside RED.Health emergency response professionals will ensure that patients receive continuous specialized care during critical moments. By uniting our hospital’s capabilities with RED. Health’s swift response infrastructure, we are setting new benchmarks in continuous patient care.”
Looking ahead, both RED.Health and Medway Hospital are exploring the potential expansion of this collaboration to serve other regions within Chennai. With this alliance, they aim to build a robust emergency medical infrastructure that supports rapid, reliable, and compassionate care, fostering a safer and healthier community in Chennai.
