CHENNAI :Sri Kanyaka Parameswari Arts & Science College for Women conducted Sports Day on 24.01.2024 (Wednesday) at 3.30 pm in the college premises. The Chief Guest of the day is Dr. S. KAMALAKANNAN, Principal, Annai Therasa Arts & Science College for Women,Thirukazhukundram. Welcome Address presented by Hony. Correspondent Sri. Vootukuru Sarath Kumar, Introduction of Chief Guest by Principal Dr. T. Mohanashree, Dean Dr. P.B.Vaneetha ,Vice Principal M. V. Nappinai, IQAC Coordinator Dr. P. Barani Kumari and Mr. D. Naveen Kumar were also present at the occasion. Events began with March Past of the Athletes belonging to all the classes that was followed by Oath Taking of the Sports Secretary. Then the college Director of Physical Education Mr. D. Naveen Kumar read the Annual Sports Report. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering.
The Chief Guest said that parents should give importance to their children’s health by giving them healthy foods and also by allowing them to play in the ground which makes them feel relaxed. He also advised parents to spend their valuable time with their children. He said that sports teaches a lot of life lessons and gives positive energy so he advised students to take up some sports activity which will enhance them and keep them healthy.
The Chief Guest was accompanied by the dignitaries on stage and distributed the prizes. Yoga, Silambam,Pyramid and Aerobics were performed by the students. Programme came to an end with Vote of thanks.
