CHENNAI: IQAC, Nakshatra Students’ Council & Kalaalaya Fine Arts Association of Sri Kanyaka Parameswari Arts & Science College for Women organized Navaratri Cultural Programme on 16th October 2023 at 6 pm in the Sri Kanyaka Parameswari Temple. Hony Correspondent Vootukuru Sarath Kumar, Principal Dr. T. Mohanashree, Dean Dr. P. B. Vanitha, Vice Principal Dr. M. V. Nappinai, Management Members, Faculty and Staff Members attended the programme. The celebration started by offering prayers to Goddess Vasavamba and then by performing classical dances by students.
Students sang the devotional songs and performed dances such as Pushpa Anjali, Valam Tharum Thiruve, Azhagu Deivam, Aanandha Thaandavam, Ashta Lakshmi, Radha krishna, Thirupavai, Karagam, Vepilai Aattam, Telugu Dance, Hindi Dance and Mahishashuramardhini.
The event was well attended by all the enthusiastic students, faculty and staff members in traditional grooming and it became an excellent example of celebration of tradition with joy and fervor at its fullest
