Sri Kanyaka Parameswari Arts & Science College for women along with the Sri Kanyaka Parameswari Devasthanam & Charities celebrated the 78th Independence Day on 15.08.2024 (Thursday) at 9:30 am with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The event was attended by Management members, Sri. Soleti Lokaian Sudarasanam, Member -in- Charge of Office Administration & Works, Hony. Correspondent to Aided Schools, Sri. T. S. Badrinath, Member – in – Charge of Hostels, Chairman of SKPD NTTF, Sri. Desu Lakshmi Narayana, Member – in – Charge of Devasthanam, Sri. C. R. Kishore Babu, Member – in – Charge of Finance, Dr. J. V. Rao, Advisor, SKPD Education Institutions, Hony Correspondent of SKPC Sri Vootukuru Sarath Kumar, Principal Dr. T. Mohanasree, Dean Dr. P. B. Vaneetha, Vice Principal Dr. M.V. Nappinai, Staff and Students. KTCT Girls’ Aided Primary & Higher Secondary School, SKPD Boys’ Aided Primary & Secondary School, Maharishi vidya Mandhir Sr. Sec. Schools and SKPD – NTTF Training Centre also made their presence.
The programme started with the invocation of prayer, welcome address was given by Hony Correspondent of SKPC Sri Vootukuru Sarath Kumar. The introduction of the chief guest was given by Sri. M. Kishore Kumar, Secretary of SKPD Charities. The Flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest Mr. B. L. Kumarvel, Partner, Prem Pharma Agency. The National Anthem was sung by the students and faculty members with great pride.
The Chief Guest delivered the patriotic speech. In his speech, Mr. B. L. Kumarvel paid tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the independence of our country. He also urged the students to be proud of their heritage and to contribute towards building a strong and prosperous India. Meritorious scholarships provided to students who scored high marks in their plus two board examination in order to motivate them to get university ranks. Sports scholarship also provided to Ms. Swethasree (III B. A Sociology) who achieved state level in athletics. Then, School and College students sang patriotic songs, delivered speeches and performed dances. Finally, the programme came to an end with the vote of thanks.
