Times Interact Awards 2024: Chennai’s Amirta Group Chairman Mr. R. Bhoominathan Honoured with Trendsetters in Education Award 2024.

Chennais Amirta Group Chairman R.Bhoominathan was awarded the prestigious Trendsetters in Education Award at the Times Interact Awards ceremony organized by Times of India.

The award was presented by Health and Family Welfare Minister Honorable MA. Subramanian, who served as the chief guest at the event held at Hilton Star Hotel in Guindy, Chennai. Minister Subramanian recognized 27 companies for their innovative contributions across various sectors.

Chennais Amirta Group, renowned for its significant accomplishments in the Hotel management and aviation industries, The institution is the pioneer in the field of Hotel management and the only hotel management institution to have provided more than 25000 students in jobs globally.

Chennais Amita’s students achievement in the recently concluded IKA/Culinary Olympics 2024 held at Stuttgart, Germany is a proof for their quality of education and standards where the students secured three Gold medal in addition to other medals and this Gold medal is the first gold medal for India in the 124 years of culinary Olympics.

Chennais Amirta provides its students the concept of “ Earn while you Learn “ whereby students are able to beat their financial challenges and also get Industrial experience during their course of studies.

Hon.Minister MA. Subramanian highlighted the importance of such accolades in encouraging humanitarian efforts. In his address, he underscored the initiatives of the Public Health Department, citing over 110 announcements in the Legislative Assembly annually, with detailed progress reports in the ‘Action Report’.

Hon.Minister also addressed healthcare advancements in Tamil Nadu, noting the influx of patients from neighboring states seeking treatment. He announced plans to inaugurate two new children’s health hospitals, one at the premises of Artist Centenary Multi speciality Hospital and another in Thanjavur. Additionally, the government has invested ₹14 crore in advanced equipment for brain tumor treatment and established artificial insemination centers.

The minister commended the state’s achievements in healthcare and emphasized the provision of free services under People’s Health Life.
