Virtusa announces the winners of ‘Jatayu’, Idea to Industrialization hackathon 2022 

Virtusa Corporation, a global provider of digital strategy, digital engineering, and IT services and solutions that help clients change and disrupt markets through innovation engineering, today announced the winners of its second edition of “Jatayu Ideathon Hackathon.”

Jatayu, Idea to Industrialization hackathon is an exclusive competition for third-year students from 65 partner colleges across the country. The event saw participation of 18000 campus students where 10 teams were selected to compete with each other in the Final round. During the 3 rounds of the competition, students were given high-level problem statements and were required to work on a prototype and the final product to make it go live. The problem included Metaverse and Stock market prediction.

Each member of these top three teams has won an internship at Virtusa where they will undergo training and work on industrializing their products and ultimately will get absorbed and receive full-time employment offers.

In addition to full-time employment, four winning teams will each take home INR 1,00,000 each, along with five runners-up each taking home INR 50,000. Further, the top three winning teams will receive special prizes including smart watches and Bluetooth headsets.

It was a very tough call to arrive at the winners aseach team was neck to neck in their performance, methodology and approach.  While students have access to theoretical knowledge, they got to experience and work on real life problems. In addition, we are thrilled to offer internships to the deserving students to work with the best-in-class and be part of the Virtusa success story.”
