HEALERS HARMONY – Rotary’s Tribute to Doctors

Chennai: The Community Service Health Team of Rotary International District 3233 under the Governorship of Rtn. D. Devendran, is organizing HEALERS HARMONY – Rotary’s Tribute to Doctors on the occasion of National Doctor’s Day on 1st July 2025 at Dynasty Hall, Ambassador Pallava, 30, Red Cross Road, Egmore, Chennai 600008 from 8 am to 12 Noon which will be attended by around 200 people.

In the program, about 58 Rotary Clubs of RID 3233 are participating. It will be attended by all the Rotarian Doctors of RID 3233 and they will be recognized in the event.

The following eight eminent Doctors are given various awards.Prof. Mohammed Rela, Chairman & Managing Director, Dr. Rela Institute of Medical Center, India and Dr. Ravi Kannan, Director, Cachar Cancer Hospital & Research Center, Silchar, Assam are given For the Sake of Honor Award.Rtn. Dr. R. Sriram, Emergency Medicine Consultant, RC Madras West, Rtn. Dr. Mohan Rajan, Senior Consultant Opthalmologist, RC Madras T.Nagar and Dr. T.S. Selvavinayagam, Director of Public Health, Govt. of Tamilnadu are given Lifetime Achievement Award.
Rtn. Dr. R. Prem Sekar, Pediatric Interventional Cardiologist, RC Madras Temple City and Rtn. Dr. Vasumathy Vedantham, Senior Consultant Opthalmologist, RC Chennai Towers are given Distinguished Medical Service Award.Dr. Karthik Balaji, Founder, Zoriox Innovation Labs, Chennai is given Young Achiever Award.

On the same day, apart from these awards, under the dynamic Directorship of Rtn. Dr. S. Ramesh Babu, CSH Team is launching its own website, https://dhanvanthri3233.org which will be showcasing all the activities of Community Service Health. The various service projects spearheaded by Rotary such as Orange Vision Centers, Dialysis Centers, and details of Cancer Screening Bus, Cardiac Bus, Dental Bus, Eye Screening Bus & other past, present and future projects of RID 3233 are highlighted.

For the benefit of Rotarians and their families, “Rotarian’s Privilege Health Card” will be launched by our District Governor, Rtn. D. Devendran. This card connects the Rotarians with a network of reputed Hospitals where they enjoy discounted rates and privileged access. More hospitals are getting added to this initiative.

One of the Flagship projects of our DG, Rtn. D. Devendran is “Every Week, Every Club” – a Multi-Specialty Medical Camp for targeted beneficiaries is also being launched on that day. In this project, the Rotary Clubs will be involved in conducting these free medical camps and the CSH Team will facilitate the smooth conduct of the camp.

Senior Orthopaedic Surgeon and Former Vice Chancellor, Dr. Mayilvahanan Natarajan will be the Chief Guest and Thiru Rtn. Dr. Ezhilan Naganathan, Member of Legislative Assembly, Thousand Lights Constituency, Government of Tamilnadu will be the Guest of Honor.The above information is being given by Rtn. Dr. S.
